Dutch Creations has been so kind as to sponsor the event. If you'd like to use any fresh materials which are not on the list, you would be required to supply these yourself.

The firm "Smithers Oasis" will provide up to two floral foam spheres per person, and as such the round form of these must remain part of your composition. They will also be providing 'real' diamante in the form of Oasis Diamante Spray®.

It is compulsory to use one or two of the floral foam spheres and the diamante sprays in your arrangement!

IMPORTANT TO NOTE:

The bridal bouquet must be "hanging" and not have a traditional handle
The material list must be submitted to me at least 10 days before the competition
The bridal bouquet must be exhibited at eye level, approx 1.70 metres, and participants are responsible for providing their own display system.

Bridal Bouquet Competition
This year, the Boerma Instituut, Aalsmeer is organising, in co-operation with the new industry exhibition IFTF, a challenging competition, to be held at the exhibition in the Expo Haarlemmereer.

The competition will take place on Wednesday 3rd November, 2010, with the theme as "Bridal work" with the title "a dangling bridal bouquet"… meaning an exceptional & extraordinary hanging bridal bouquet!

Of course "live" material, blooms and greenery must have the starring role, but can of course be combined with interesting accessories of all sorts... in other words... "rise to the challenge, and show your creativity".
 
Competition Organisation , judging & prizes
The competition organiser is the Boerma Instituut.
The responsible representative is Jacqueline Boerma
Jacqueline will check all materials before and during the competition.
She has sole right to determine the suitability of any materials or accessories, and to ensure they comply with the competition rules
The Boerma Instituut is not responsible for theft, vandalism, fire or any other possible damage how so ever incurred to participants and/or their materials
The Boerma Instituut reserves the right to change any of the rules regarding the organisation of the competition if required
Judging of the compositions will take place at the Expo Haarlemmermeer
The jury will be Irma Mus, Carel Schenk and Robert Koene
Chris Martens will be the jury representative from Smithers Oasis


Points will be awarded in the following categories:
1 Design
2 Technique & durability
3 Creativity
4 Combination of colours
5 Choice of materials




These are the prizes:
1st Prize 5 day Bridal work course at the Boerma Instituut to the value of 1000 euros’, or a replacement course held by them to the same value (to be agreed with the Boerma Instituut.) and the latest book by Miranda ter Voorde.

2nd  Prize is a subscription of one year to Fleur creative and Fleur magazine, a book from Daniel Ost and a very nice gift box from Smithers Oasis.

3rd  Prize is a subscription of one year to Fleur creative and Fleur magazine, the book In Love 2 and a gift box from Smithers Oasis.

Every one receives a hand tied bouquet boek from EPN and a certificate of participation from the Boerma Instituut.

We also had a special prize; one of the visitors walked against one of the bouquets and it fell. Yvonne receives the consolation prize from Restaurant Kempers Roef in Kudelstaart; a dinner for two.
