What is your job position and what do you do ?
Teaching the Dutch and International professional courses. On the days that there are no lessons, I do all kinds of job. In july 2008 I went to Brazil for the Boerma Institut to help teaching over there.
Since when do you do this?
Since April 1st 2007 and that is really no joke.
How did you get your job at Boerma Instituut?
I had a telephone call with Jacqueline Boerma. Ik was looking for a challenge and Jacqueline was looking for a teacher.
What did you do before Boerma Instituut?
I had my own flower shop for a couple of years, gave some workshops in the evening time, worked with silk flowers and have worked in several flower shops.
You are working in a Floristry Institution. How is your knowledge and skills in the area?
My skills are all right. I like to have contact with people and I am inspired by floral designs in general. Like to listen to the (free lance) teachers here and Theo Boerma.
I still learn every day, also from the questions of the students. If you stop learning, you stop living.
What is your personal favourite arrangement ?
Funeral arrangements.
What is you marital status?
In love, engaged and married to Natasja on February 20th 2009, we had the wedding party in the Boerma Instituut. Talking about married with your work:) .
Do you have children?
Yes, his name is Quinten. Born on 11th March 2010. He is so adorable. Quinten was baptized on August 29th 2010. It was a special happening.
Do you have any hobbies besides the Boerma Instituut?
Actually not, I made my work out of my hobby.
What is your favourite holiday destination?
We go on holiday with the tent. There in not a fovorite holiday country, if you are away from home, it feels different then it is holiday.
What is your favorite food?
In fact that is a problem. I like everything as long as it is home cooked :).but no soup, that is too much water for me. Although I sometimes eat the soup at the school but that is because they keep telling me how good it is, so I have to try.
